Terms of use

The rules for using FlipMatic, its website and its themes. Last updated 1 October 2026

These terms are between you and InkConfetti, the business that makes FlipMatic. They apply when you create an account or use the FlipMatic app. Our privacy policy says what we collect and why.

The app and the themes

FlipMatic and every theme in it are free. You may use them on your own computers, for yourself, at home or at work. You may not sell them, put the app or the theme files on another site, or present them as your own. The themes, their pictures and sounds, and the FlipMatic name and logo belong to InkConfetti or to those who license them to us.

If you add a theme to your library while it is free, we will never ask you to pay for it. You can download it again from your library for as long as the FlipMatic store runs. If we ever have to withdraw a theme, the copy on your computer keeps working.

Your account

You must be 13 or older to create an account. Use a real email address and keep your password to yourself. An account is for one person. You are responsible for what you do with it and for keeping your password safe.

We may suspend or close an account that is used to harm the service or other people, or that seriously breaks these terms. We will write to its email address to say why, unless the law or someone's safety stops us. Themes already installed stay on your computer. You can delete your account at any time in My Library.

Fair use

Do not attack or overload the service, create accounts automatically, copy the site's content by machine, or try to get around how themes are checked and signed. Do not use the prank remote to harass anyone.

Scary themes and the prank remote

Some themes show sudden pictures, some flash, and some play loud sounds, and the prank remote sets them off from your phone. Use them with care: only on people who would be fine with it, not on someone with a heart condition, epilepsy or a strong fear, not on young children, and never in a way that could make someone fall or get hurt.

Services we rely on

The website runs on Cloudflare, accounts and libraries on Google Firebase, and the weather comes from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. When one of them is unavailable, part of FlipMatic may not work for a while.

Changes to FlipMatic and to these terms

We may change FlipMatic and add or remove themes. Themes already installed stay on your computer.

We may change these terms for a good reason, such as a new feature, a change in the law, or to make them clearer. If you have an account, we will email you at least 30 days before an important change. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before it takes effect. A change never applies to a disagreement that has already started. We keep earlier versions of these terms: ask us for one.

If we ever close FlipMatic's online service, we will email every account at least 30 days before. Themes already installed keep working.

If FlipMatic passes to another owner, your rights under these terms stay the same.

Our responsibility

FlipMatic is free, and we can't promise that it will always work or be free of bugs. If we break these terms or are careless, we are responsible for losses that were a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for losses nobody could foresee, or for business losses. We never limit our responsibility for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. You also keep every right your country's consumer law gives you.

If we disagree

Write to us first, and we will try to put it right. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights your country's consumer law gives you, including where you may bring a claim.

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. What we promise on our theme pages is part of these terms too.
