Today's weather on the strip under the clock
Show the weather
- Move the mouse over the clock. Three round buttons appear in the bottom-right corner: click the gear to open Settings.
- Open the Board tab and turn on Weather.
- In Location, start typing your city and pick it from the list.
- Under Degrees, choose °C or °F.
A weather line then joins the ticker, for example PARTLY CLOUDY 21°C. If the name of the weather is too long for the ticker, it uses a shorter one.
If your city is not found
FlipMatic knows the 5,000 largest cities in the world, including their names in local scripts. If it says No match, try the Latin spelling, like Paris, or the nearest large city.
Where the weather comes from
- The forecast comes from MET Norway, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.
- FlipMatic asks for it right away when you turn it on or change the city, then about once an hour, so it needs an internet connection.
- It sends a position rounded to about 100 meters: your city's, or your computer's own if Location is empty. FlipMatic adds nothing else about you.
